Making a zine is like sending a message in a bottle. You share messages of survival, hope, and memories, never knowing who it will reach and what connections you will make.

It is with tremendous pride that Queer Zine Library and Queer Newham invite you to explore this online exhibition celebrating the work created in our collaborative zine making project.

How to navigate the exhibition:

Message in a Bottle takes place over a series of 5 rooms: The Docks, Mapping, Letters to You, Belonging, Futures. Each room includes original art work, writing, full digital zines, and live readings and video presentations of work by their creators.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the workshops, used the resource packs, contributed words and art and photos and shared your stories and experiences with us. We hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we have and we hope you continue to make and share your experiences with us and others. Zines forever.
